Sudan, Politics, 4/18/2005
Former Sudanese prime minister and leader of the opposition Sudanese party Sadeq al-Mahdi called for a national solution to the Sudanese crisis through a conference including all Sudanese sides.
In a press conference held in Cairo, al-Mahdi said that the behavior of the current government had opened the door before foreign interventions because of its contradictory policies. He explained that he had started a dialogue with the two rebel movements in Darfur in an attempt to find out an outlet for the armed conflict.
