Assafi: Syrian - Iranian relations are strategic

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid Riza Assafi has described the Iranian-Syrian relations as strong and strategic. In his weekly press conference, Assafi criticized the US pressures on Syria.
He stressed that peace on the Palestinian-Israeli track will not be reached as long as Israel continues to pursue its hostile policy, creating crises and tensions in the Middle East, stressing Iran's rejection to recognize Israel.
