Gunmen also demanded the resignation of members of the Legislative Council in protest of what they described the neglect of the Palestinian Authority of detainees causes and families of "martyrs" and demanded ensuring job opportunities to them.

The commander of al-Aqsa groups in the West Bank, Zakaraya al-Zubeidi, said that they had decided to stay in the main square of Jenin with the "children of the martyrs" until the Palestinian Authorities pay them their salaries.
