Two American soldiers killed in Iraq

The American army announced that two soldiers from its navy were killed in two separate attacks in al-Anbar governorate to the west of the capital al-Anbar.
Karkouk airport which was taken by the American forces as a base was bombarded by mortars while the Iraqi authorities put down the fire which took place in al-Shourja market in Baghdad and resulted in huge material losses by an act described as conducted by a destructive group.
Al-Jihad Qaida organization in Mesopotamia claimed responsibility for the attack which targeted on Friday, by one booby trapped car, an American convoy in al-Mansour quarters. An Iraqi police officer said it resulted in injuring five Iraqis and one American soldier and damages in the American military vehicle.
One person was killed and three injured in a bomb explosion when a procession for the national guard was running in al-Qanat quarters to the east of Baghdad. A source in the army said that one bomb went off on the sideline of the road near Sameraa city that resulted in killing two Iraqi soldiers as well as targeting a vehicle for the Iraqi army in al-Amereyah that resulted in injuring several persons.
