7,000 pardoned by the king including 26 foreign prisoners

Morocco's King Mohammed VI has pardoned 7,179 prisoners, including 26 foreigners, whose nationalities were not revealed, on the occasion of the circumcision, Thursday in Fez, of Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan.
According to a communique of the Justice Ministry, the royal pardon benefited 692 detainees under 20 having acquired professional, technical or education skills during their detention, 534 inmates suffering from chronic diseases, 19 pregnant or breastfeeding women, or women accompanied by their children, 20 old prisoners, 1,459 convicts condemned to penal sentences and having served four-fifths of their sentence, 4,429 prisoners condemned to tortious sentences and having served two-thirds of their sentence. The king grants pardons to prisoners in national and religions days.
