US links aid to Sudan to end of brutal acts
Sudan-USA, Politics, 4/14/2005
The US said that providing aid Sudan is linked to halting what it called the brutal acts in Darfur. US Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick linked between the US donation of one billion to two billion dollars to Sudan's support of the peace agreement between the south and the north.
Donor states on Tuesday vowed to provide $ 4.5 billion for Sudan in order to help it in recovering the consequences of the longest civil war in Africa.
