Lebanese figures call for cementing relations with Syria
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 4/14/2005
President of the Lebanese Maronite League, Michel Edde, said the Syrian-Lebanese relations are set to develop and continue, asserting that the Syrian-Lebanese economic relations constitute the basis for economic growth in both states.
In an interposition in a forum held in Kislik, Beirut on Tuesday, Edde pointed out to the importance of restoring the 'migrating brains' to participate in the development process in both states.
For his part, In Charge of international relations at Hizbullah Lebanese Party Nawaf al-Mosawi denounced foreign intervention in Lebanon's internal affairs, saying Lebanese resistance was able to blow up Israeli strategy that aimed at politically subjugating the Arab region.
For its part, the National Unity Forum called for cementing cooperation between Syria and Lebanon in all domains.
It also underscored the necessity of commitment to the national unity that could give opportunity to make way for political, economic and social programs in the forthcoming elections.
