Intifada committee seeks contributions

The "Syrian Arab Popular Committee for Supporting the Intifada and Fighting the Zionist Scheme" on Tuesday urged the citizens in Syria to contribute in reducing the suffering of the Palestinians in Jerusalem and encouraging them to "face the Zionist acts of terror by supporting them financially."
In a statement, the committee called upon all civil powers and organizations in the Arab and Islamic worlds as well as civil institutions in the world to stand by the Palestinian people to "save Jerusalem from the Zionist attempts to Judaize it," calling for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
