Moroccan identified among terrorists killed in Saudi Arabia
Morocco-Saudi Arabia, Local, 4/12/2005

The Saudi Interior Ministry said it has identified Moroccan-born French Karim Touhami Driss Al Mejjati as one of the 15 terrorists killed in confrontations with security forces on April 3-5 in the province of Al-Qassim (north of Riyadh).

Al Mejjati, whose son also perished in the confrontations, was identified along with nine other terrorists. He is suspected of involvement in May 16 attacks that hit Morocco in 2003 (45 dead) and Madrid bombings of 11 March 2004 (191 dead).

The Saudi Interior Ministry explained Saturday that Al Mejatti "has entered Saudi Arabia with a forged passport accompanied by his wife and two sons."

According to the release, the Moroccan has lived in Afghanistan where he specialized in explosives manufacturing.

The release notes that the names of the five other persons killed in the confrontations will soon be disclosed.
