Iran supports just and comprehensive ME peace

President Mohammad Khatami of Iran on Monday stressed that his country is ready to offer all its capabilities to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
"Realizing the just and comprehensive peace in the region is in the interest of all countries," Khatami said during a meeting with Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moeller, calling on all countries to seriously work for finding solutions to dangers posed against humanity. He criticized the double standard policy vis-a-vis weapons of mass destruction issue, expressing hope that the UN adopts a proposal submitted by some countries of the region to make the Middle East an area free of WMD.
