Saudi crown prince to visit, France, USA, Canada

The Saudi crown prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz will as from tomorrow hold a tour that will lead him to France, the USA and Canada, during which he will in particular hold talks with the French President Jack Chirac and the American George W. Bush dealing with latest international issues, conditions in the region, including the Lebanese conditions.
A Saudi source said that the visit of the Saudi crown prince reflects the excellent relations between the kingdom and France, describing relations between the two countries as "strategic partnership." The source commended the French stands "friendly to the Arabs," noting "the personal friendship linking between crown prince Abdullah and president Chirac." The source explained that the Saudi- French talks will deal with conditions in the Middle East and means of revitalizing the Arab Peace Initiative, the situation in Iraq and recent developments in Lebanon.
The visits of the Saudi crown prince is separated by a special visit he will hold to Morocco. His visit to the USA will continue from April 23 to be followed by a three-day visit to Canada.
Saudi sources said that crown prince Abdullah and Bush will hold on April 24 "a frank meeting between the leaders of the two friendly countries" in the farm of the American President in Crawford, Texas. These sources explained that talks between Abdullah and Bush will deal in addition to the terrorism issue with "files of bilateral relations, the situation in the Middle East and ME peace process especially in the Palestinian- Israeli track." The sources added that the Saudi crown prince will assert the Arab Peace Initiative which was confirmed by the Arab-Algeria summit in March as an "evidence on the attachement of the Arab states to peace."
