Israel admits Hizbullah plane flew over north's settlements

Israel admitted on Monday evening that a spying plane for the Hizbullah party flew over its northern settlements. This was for the second time during a period of less than 6 months.

An Israeli military spokesman said that the plane flew for minutes over the northern areas before it returned back to the Lebanese atmospheres.

Earlier, the Hizbullah party announced that a pilot-less reconnaissance plane flew over Israel's northern settlements, for the second time since November 2004.

Al-Manar TV which belongs to Hizbullah said that the plane flew over northern Israel and is of Mirsda-1 type, noting that the plane which is dedicated for spying purposes returned back to its base safe.

This is, however, the second time in which Hizbullah announced that Mirsad-1 flew over the Israeli settlements after it flew for the first time on November 7, 2004. On November 12, the secretary general of the Lebanese Hizbullah party announced that the party gained several reconnaissance planes of Mirsad-1 type able to attack civilian or military targets in the Israeli depth.

Nasrullah said that this plane can also carry explosives weighing between 40 to 50 kg.
