Scientists discover two pre-Islamic era skeletons

An archaeologist group discovered two human skeletons of pre-Islamic era in a graveyard near Mezguitam village, close to the town of Taza (320 km North-East of Rabat), said a release of the Ministry of Culture.
The skeletons, believed to belong to adults, were found side-by-side balled up in an embryo position facing the West.
Scientists also discovered Animal remnants and an ostrich egg laying between the two skeletons in what looks like a sacrifice rite.
The finding will contribute to reveal the beliefs of the population that had inhabited the region at that time.
The archaeologist discovery was made by the National Institute of Archaeologist and Patrimony Science and the German Institute of Archaeology.
