Brazilian president commends Arab-Latin summit

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Friday stressed the importance of the first Arab-Latin Summit due next May in Brazilia, pointing out that it will secure possibility of discovering great chances for boosting cooperation between Arab states and Latin America.
In a statement to the Egyptian 'al-Ahram' newspaper, da Silva called upon the developing and poor countries to gather in a single bloc with the aim of bolstering relations among them and adopting practical steps to convince rich states, which dominate the different international platforms particularly the World Trade Organization, to show further flexibility in dealing with poor countries.
