Turkish president is to visit Syria next week
Syria-Turkey, Politics, 4/9/2005
Turkish president Ahmet Necdet Sezer announced on Thursday his talks with President Bashar al-Assad next week in Damascus are going to deal with bilateral ties and regional developments in the Middle East.
In a word to the Military Academy in Istanbul, Sezer said "Turkey is ready to bolster the Mideast peace process." He depicted terror as a dangerous threat today more than ever, noting that attacks that took place recently in some places of the world mean that terror could reach any place.
