Kuwaiti papers criticize US intervention in Lebanon
Lebanon-USA, Politics, 4/7/2005

The Kuwaiti paper of al-Rai al-Am harshly criticized in an article Wednesday US interference in the Lebanese internal affairs, warning against dangers that come from shuttle tours made by US officials to Lebanon.

The daily stressed that Lebanon, since the Taif Accord, has been enjoying an appropriate level of political and social life.

Al-Rai lashed out at statements by some American officials against the number of Lebanese national parties as provocative.

For its part, al-Qabas, another Kuwaiti paper, focused on the distinguished Syrian-Lebanese relations in all fields, pointing out that any defect in these relations comes in favor of a US-Israeli agenda awaiting for Lebanon.

The daily warned against any harmony with the foreign policies which do not meet Lebanon's unity, stability and interest.
