Workshop on women's role in economic development

A workshop on "Syrian woman ambitions and reality" opened Wednesday in Aleppo, north Syria, to cement the Syrian woman position and responsibilities in the economic development.

Aleppo governor Osama Adi said in a word that the workshop poses as a "new cornerstone on the road of boosting women's role and development as well as their presence and participation in the field of work and holding of responsibilities." "It is to deepen the woman's position and responsibilities in the process of building, development and modernization as well as enhancing development," he said.

The workshop is organized by the Syrian Industrial Businesswomen in cooperation with the Chamber of Industry in Aleppo. It is to talk about "Woman and work," and "Woman and Society," as well as "Woman and policy."
