US ambassador to Iraq

At the diplomatic level on Iraq, the US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice announced on Tuesday that the current US ambassador in Afghanistan Zalmai Khalil Zada will be appointed as ambassador of the US in Iraq.
Khalil Zada ( 54 year old) and of an Afghani ancestry will succeed ambassador John Negroponty who occupied this post before he was appointed in February as a director for the national intelligence in the USA.
