Abul-Gheit: Islamic, Arab civilization should be represented in UNSC if enlarged

Egypt's Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit said yesterday that the Arab and Islamic civilizations should be represented in the UN Security Council if it was enlarged.
Addressing the Shura Council Abul -Gheit said Egypt's bid to get a permanent UNSC seat is backed by its status as a main regional power and by a history of supporting freedom movements in the developing world. He said Egypt is keeping abreast with international changes and concepts, but never gives up one of its principles.
