US welcomes Syria's forces pullout from Lebanon

The US President George W. Bush welcomed Damascus's announcement to withdraw its forces from Lebanon by the end of the current month. But he stressed that this should include all Syrian forces.
In a joint press conference at the White House with the Ukraine President Victor Yutshinko, the US president called for carrying out the Lebanese elections in its set date. He said he is looking forward to work with Washington's friends and allies to ensure what he called a Lebanon that enjoys a genuine freedom.
