Egypt-USA, Economics, 4/2/2005

Treasury Undersecretary John Taylor is to arrive in Cairo tomorrow on a four-day official visit to Egypt for talks with senior Egyptian officials. On Tuesday, Taylor is due to give a lecture at the Egyptian Centre for Economic Studies (ESES).

In statements, ECES Executive Manager Ahmed Galal said many issues will be put for discussion during the lecture, atop of which are the monetary policies adopted by countries using the free exchange rate system, and how tax policies negatively affect the ability of central banks.
