Morocco-Iran, Economics, 4/2/2005
Giving an impetus to Moroccan- Iranian economic relations, and re-boosting bilateral trade exchanges is the mission of a group of Moroccan businessmen due to pay a visit to Tehran on April 8-10.
This was announced by the Moroccan Center for the Promotion of Exports (CMPE), which pointed out in a release that the Moroccan businessmen will discuss with Iranian peers means to bolster trade exchanges, especially in sectors linked to Information Technology, vehicles spare parts, agro-industry, chemistry, para-chemistry and leather. Commercial exchanges remain significantly low between the two countries, said the same source, noting that, in 2003, Moroccan imports from Iran did not exceed MAD 434m (about USD 52m), while Morocco's exports to Iran barely totaled 290m (USD 35m).
