Morocco, Spain to fight organised crime

Morocco and Spain expressed, in Grenada Wednesday, the importance of judicial cooperation to fight organised crime, illegal immigration and terrorism.
Speaking at the opening of the Moroccan-Spanish meeting on penal law, the Spanish minister of Justice, Juan Fernando Lopez Aguilar voiced satisfaction to Moroccan-Spanish joint action to fight organised crime.
He said that the two neighbour countries have "common interests and their duty is to further consolidate their cooperation," noting that Spain works to provide an environment of friendship and trust with Morocco as a basis of cooperation.
On his part, Moroccan minister of Justice, Mohamed Bouzoub‰a noted the importance of common action to fight organised crime pointing out that 2004 was very important in terms of judicial cooperation as action programme was developed to boost cooperation, to modernise justice systems and exchange law texts and experiences to fight this phenomenon.
He recalled King Mohammed VI's attendance in the ceremonies marking the first anniversary of the Madrid blasts besides his Spanish peer, Juan Carlos, on March 11, stressing Moroccan strong commitment to fight terrorism and its mobilisation with Spain and the international community to fight this phenomenon."
The two-day meeting will hold various seminars discussing terrorism, drugs trafficking, illegal immigration and means to fight theses phenomena.
