Russia commends Syrian- Lebanese cooperation

Russian Ambassador in Beirut Sergey Pukin on Wednesday said that his country welcomes Syrian-Lebanese coordination which led to Syrian troops redeployment to al-Bekaa Valley and other withdrawals into the Syrian lands.
"UN resolution 1559 should be implemented gradually in a way not to destabilize stability in Lebanon," Pukin told Lebanese Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hammoud in a meeting.
