Moussa urges drawing up overall health policy in all Arab states

Arab League (AL) Secretary-General Amr Moussa called yesterday for drawing up a comprehensive health policy in all the Arab states.
Addressing the opening of the 29th ordinary session of the Arab Health Ministers Council, Moussa said he hoped this session would come up with necessary resolutions to buttress joint Arab action in the health field.
He said meetings would tackle fighting AlDS, blindness and smoking, lauding the great efforts exerted by the Arab governments to develop medical care.
Egyptian Health Minister Mohammed Awad Tag Eddin underlined the importance of setting up Arab medical centers at the highest levels and encouraging therapeutic tourism.
Tag Eddin,called for laying down a unified strategy to deal with the negative effects of the World Health Organization (WHO) laws.
The session discussed a number of issues related to health legislations in the Arab countries as well as developing the work of the Arab Health Ministers Council and preparations for facing a possible leakage from Israel's nuclear reactors
