Lebanese presidency rejects accusations against Lahoud
Lebanon, Politics, 3/29/2005

The Media Office at Lebanese Presidency on Monday dismissed some media and politicians accusations against Lebanese President Emile Lahoud's for his stance vis-a-vis the assassination crime of former Lebanese Premier Rafic Hariri.

"The accusations of a clear stance absence for Lahoud towards this heinous crime are incorrect," the Media Office said in a statement.

"Those who set accusations against Lahoud are exceeding the limits of their organized campaigns ... they are opposing realities confirmed by statements that are daily issued by Lebanese presidency," the statement said. It added that President Lahoud's statements which followed Hariri's assassination had truly reflected the disaster in Lebanon caused by the terrorist act.
