Increase in the state's revenues in Yemen

Total revenues of the state's general treasury in Yemen increased to 808 billion Yemeni Riyals in 2004 from 672 billion Riyals in 2003. One US dollar is equal to 180 Yemeni Riyals.
Information issued by the ministry of finance revealed that oil revenues alone reached 579 billion Riyals of which 370 billion Riyals from exporting crude oil while 202 billion Riyals came from sales of refined oil and its byproducts in the local market while gas revenues achieved five billion riyals.
Total taxes were 176 billion Riyals, including 98 billion riyals as direct taxes and other 78 billion as indirect, while other current non taxation revenues reached 45 billion Riyals.
The statistics showed that total capital revenues and donations reached 2.6 billion Riyals in 2004 against 9.4 billion riyals 2003, representing a decrease of 6.8 billion Riyals.
Yemen's total production of oil is estimated at 470,000 barrels a day and the volume of drilling energy reserves in Yemen is 5.8 billion barrels of oil and 450 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
