Lebanese envoy to the UN Security Council

A high ranking official at the Lebanese foreign ministry will head to New York today in an urgent mission to follow up the discussions which the UN Security Council will start to form an international investigation committee over the assassination of the late Lebanese prime minister Rafic Hariri.
A source in the Lebanese foreign ministry said that the acting secretary general of the ministry and director of the political affairs directorate, Butrous Asaker, was assigned to this mission. Asaker carried official instructions that supports a UN investigation committee, according to the recommendations of the report of the fact-finding mission.
