Arab electricity grid federation to be launched

It has been decided to set up a federation of Arab electricity grids to enable Arab countries to join an Arab linkage project, Minister of Electricity and Energy Hassan Younis said on Thursday.
The move is a step towards a unified Arab grid ahead of setting up an Arab economic market for power to be an example of economic integration among the Arab states, Nazif added in a speech to a scientific seminar on the future of power linkage in the Arab states.
