ONA Holding sales stood at MAD 22.72 billion in 2004

The sales The North African Omnium Group (ONA) stood at MAD 22.72 billion in 2004, recording a 7.4 percent increase compared to the previous year, ONA Managing Director Said Bendidi said here Thursday.

The Moroccan Holding, which netted a MAD 21.15 billion in sales in 2003, recorded an operation surplus of MAD 2.5 billion in 2004 compared to MAD 2.6 billion the previous year.

The operation results stood at MAD 1.47 billion, decreasing 7.3 percent to 2003. The current and net results reached respectively MAD 1.22 billion and MAD 431 million. These results were MAD 1.32 billion and MAD 964 million the previous year.

The decline rate of the group proper capitals was 6.4 pc, amounting to a MAD 14.32 billion compared to MAD 15.31 billion in 2003. The ONA auto-financing capacity reached MAD 2.42 billion instead of MAD 2.23 billion in 2003, which represents a rise of 8.2 pc.

ONA net investment increased to MAD 4.58 billion compared to MAD 1.59 billion in 2003, while the group debt amounted to MAD 4.04 billion compared to MAD 265 million the previous year.

The principal activity of the Holding is the provision of farm products, sugar, milk products, edible oil and fish products. The Company exports goods and equipment to other African countries. The group has operations in hypermarkets, mining exploitation, automobile assembly and sales, real estate, holding companies.
