Moroccan cinema stars at Mar del Plata Film Festival

The Moroccan cinema has won several awards at the 20th edition of Mar del Plata Film Festival, held on March 10-20 in Argentina.
The best film award went to the Moroccan-French movie, "le Grand Voyage" (The Great Trip). Directed by Moroccan Ismael Ferroukhi, the movie was extended the Astor de Oro (Golden Astor) as the best feature-length movie in the festival, held in the city of Mar del Plata (400km south of Buenos Aires).
Leading actor of the movie, Moroccan Mohamed Majd, won the Astor de Plata (Silver Astor) award for best actor.
The movie also received a distinction from Argentinean Cinema Chronicles Association.
Moroccan director, Yasmine Kassari, received the Astor de Plata (Silver Astor) award for her Morocco-Belgian movie, "L'Enfant Endormi" (The Sleeping Child).
The movie director of photography, Yorgos Arvanitis received the prize for best image.
Over 300 movies from various countries were screened during the festival.
