Moroccan king expected Monday in Algiers to attend Arab Summit

King Mohammed VI of Morocco is expected, in Algiers Monday, coming from Paris, to attend the two-day 17th summit of Arab heads of State due to open on Tuesday in the Algerian capital.
On Sunday, Arab foreign ministers wrapped up in Algiers a two-day meeting held prior to the summit by adopting the draft final declaration that inter alia calls for the energising of the Arab Peace Initiative approved by the Beirut 2002 Summit. The draft declaration also includes the reform and the enlargement of the Security Council and the development of Arab common action through the reforming of the Arab league mechanisms, as well as resolutions on Iraq and Palestine.
