Iraqi- Jordanian diplomatic crisis

The crisis between Iraq and Jordan, over the involvement of a Jordanian who blew himself up in a suicide attack in Iraq, was escalated yesterday to the extent that each of the two states summoned their diplomatic representative.
Jordan announced that it summoned its charge de affairs in Iraq to Amman for consultation on the security of its diplomatic mission after thousands of Iraqis angry demonstrated demanding the closure of the Jordanian embassy in Baghdad.
On the other hand, the Iraqi foreign ministry announced yesterday it summoned its ambassador in Jordan for consultation. A high ranking official at the ministry admitted that there is a "crisis in the relations between the two countries," holding the authorities in Amman responsible for certain attacks in Iraq.
Anti-Jordan demonstrations in Iraq have increased after news leaked that the attack which took place in al-Hella to the south of Baghdad in February was committed by the Jordanian called Rad al-Banna where the attack resulted in injuring more than 100.
