King Abdullah will not attend the Arab Summit
Jordan-Regional, Politics, 3/21/2005
Jordan's King Abdullah II will not attend the Arab Summit in Algeria next Tuesday because of former commitments, a senior Jordanian official said Sunday.
"The King was unable to change his plan when he received the invitation for attending the summit two months ago," Jordanian Foreign Minister Hani al-Mulqi said in a statement.
Jordanian sources said yesterday evening that Jordanian Prime Minister Faysal al-Fayez, which will arrive in Algeria on Monday, is going to head the Jordanian delegation to the Summit.
