Jordanian newspaper and pressures on Syria

Jordanian weekly "al-Liwa" newspaper called for the necessity of supporting Syria in the face of the mounting pressures she is exposed to. "Standing by Syria is a must ... the unity of natural and political geography requires us to support Syria," the newspaper said in an article published on Sunday.
It criticized the double standard policy and selectivity in implementing UN resolutions, wondering why the US is pressing for the implementation of UN resolution 1559, while at the same time, it ignores resolutions related to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
