Arab natural gas pipeline to Europe thru Syria

Egypt's Petroleum Minister Sameh Fahmi will post the Shura Council on the recent achievements by his ministry in oil and gas fields.
Fahmi said oil sector strategy has been approved by President Hosni Mubarak in 2000.
This strategy has secured Egypt several successes with foreign investments letting $9.5 billion.
In statements to Akhbar Al-Yom, Fahmi said the Arab gas pipeline section from Aqaba in Jordan to Al-Rihab city in Syria is extended to 395kms due to be completed by the end of this year.
The pipeline will later be expended to Turkey and then into the European natural gas network, he said.
