'Remarkable progress' in Morocco, France trade exchanges (CCFA)
Morocco-France, Economics, 3/18/2005
Trade exchanges between France and Morocco have registered a "remarkable progress " as Morocco is deemed the 4th Arab exporter to France and the second importer behind Algeria.
Morocco is one of the rare Arab states that enjoy balanced trade exchanges with France, President of the Arab-French Chamber of Commerce (CCFA), ambassador Serge Boidevaix, told MAP at meeting Wednesday with the Arab press in Paris.
According to CCFA statistics, France imported from Morocco about 2.575 billion euros of goods in 2004 and exported to the north African country what is estimated at 2.769 billion.
"I believe it is an excellent evolution to reach a balanced trade," said Boidevaix, recalling the French trade surplus that marked exchanges between the two countries in the past years.
