Official Source: Syria supports China on Taiwan issue

Syria on Wednesday supported the Chinese anti-secession legislation recently enacted by the National People's Congress, Parliament.
"Syria supports the stance of the friendly People's Republic of China as expressed by the Anti-Secession Law passed Monday which reassures China's sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as maintains stability in Taiwan's straits in a way to peacefully restore Chinese unity of land," a senior official source at the Foreign Ministry said.
The source added that Syria, as it announces backing to this law and the Chinese wise policy, stresses importance of the existing relations of friendship and cooperation between Syria and the People's Republic of China.
