Mubarak, al-Assad discuss developments in a phone call

In a telephone call, President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt discussed with the Syrian President on Monday "developments of current conditions at the Syrian and Lebanese arenas in light of international contacts to this issue."
The Middle East news Agency MENA said that President Mubarak made a telephone call with al-Assad. The spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency Suleiman Awad said the two leaders also discussed "consultations held by Terje Roed Larsen, the UN special envoy with President Mubarak in Sharm al-Sheikh last week as well as the consultations Larsen held later in each of Damascus and Beirut."
