Kenyans dominated 8th Casablanca International Marathon

Kenyans dominated Casablanca International Marathon winning men and women's gold medals.
Matui Amostirop dashed past fellow Kenyan Mulwo Mark-Kpkuragt to win the 8th annual Casablanca International Marathon here Sunday.
The Kenyan runner finished the 42-kilometer, 195-meter endurance contest with an unofficial time of two hours, fourteen minutes and 34 seconds.
Moroccan Othmane Chaabi went up the podium after ranking third with two hours, 19 minutes and 11 seconds.
Women's division was also Kenyan as Saina Esther Jepkoech dominated the course of the race and finished with an official time of two hours, 39 minutes and 59 seconds, advancing Moroccan Didi Touda (2h 56mn 09s) and American Dobbyn Carolyne (2h 56mn 53s).
Earlier, a 16 km race was won by Moroccans Lahcen Belahcen in Men's division and El Ouali Alami Salima in women's division.
15,000 runners from various countries notably Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Italy, Russia, the USA, France and Ukraine, including 20 of the world best participated in this year's marathon.
