Over five million tourists visited Morocco in 2004,, which has become one of the best destinations in the short-medium distances, according to the news bulletin of the International Tourism Exchange (ITB) Convention being held in Berlin.

In an article titled "Morocco on the Increase," devoted to the North African Kingdom, ITB points out that, in comparison to 2003, Spanish tourists have increased by 44%, French by 27%, English by 26% and Germans by 13%.

A large Moroccan delegation of high-ranking officials and professionals is taking part in the 39th session of the ITB, which is taking place in the German capital this March 11-15.
