Seale on US pressure on Syria
Syria-USA, Politics, 3/12/2005

It is better suited for the US president to work upon solving the big problems in the world, like the US occupation of Iraq and the Israeli occupation of Syrian and Palestinian lands, rather than practice pressure on Syria and Iran, a British writer and journalist said.

"Ending these two occupations will help the United States a lot in achieving security and peace in the region," Patrick Seale said, describing the US president's speech at the national defense university as aggressive.

In an interview published by Alhayat daily Seale criticized the US neo-conservatives' insisting on implementing their plans in the region noting that "despite of their big failure in Iraq they are insisting on reconstructing the region." "The US and Isreal's aim of their campaign against Syria and Iran is to remove the main hinders in front of their plans in the region," the British journalist said.
