Customs seize about three tons of hashish in northern Morocco

Customs officers seized on Thursday night 2.83 tons of hashish 20 km away from the northern city of Tetouan. A customs mobile squad found the drugs in two vehicles at a roadblock erected on the road between Tangiers and Tetuan.
A van carrying 2 tons of the banned substance tried to force the barricade but the driver had to leave his vehicle and run away. At the same time, a private car carrying 830 kg of cannabis resin was also compelled to renounce forcing its way through the roadblock.
