Syria, Malaysia to build joint sewage treatment stations

Syria and Malaysia agreed on Thursday to build a Syrian-Malaysian company to manufacture sewage water processing stations.
The accord noted that the private and public sectors in Syria are to participate in the project and the idea is to be studied at all levels.
Damascus countryside governorate and Malaysian Federation of companies inked on Thursday a joint cooperation deal in which the Malaysian side would offer the technical and financial aspects to design and execute sewage water treatment stations for small population compounds as well medium population compounds.
Malaysia is to present also a financial and technical offer to purify wells of potable water and remove nitrates from them.
The accord is singed by Governor of Damascus countryside Tamer Hajjeh and Head of the Malaysian delegation Bob Claire who noted the aim of the visit was to establish a joint center for environment adequacy by which we can exchange expertise and find solutions.
"We are ready to present suitable solutions for water sewage in Syria," the official noted.
Damascus is a crowded city where more than 3 millions live there as well in Damascus neighborhoods and countryside. Syria's population has got at about 20 millions in latest statistics. SANA
