Nasrullah restores back to Syria its consideration, clings to Lebanon's unity

The secretary general of the Lebanese Hizbullah party, Hassan Nasrullah, called on all Lebanese to maintain unity and solidarity and preserve the gains of the Taif accord.
In a speech he delivered yesterday amid hundreds of thousands of Lebanese who met in Beirut in support of the Syrian position, Nasrullah stressed rejection of UN Security Council resolution no. 1559.
In a speech, Nasrullah expressed his thanks and gratitude to Damascus expressing his apology for the Syrian people and government over what was stated by certain officials in the Lebanese opposition of violations. He said that Syria gave sacrifices marked in the blood of its army officers and soldiers along the years of resistance and defense in protection of Lebanon.
He explained that Riad al-Solh square where the demonstrators gathered and al-Shuhadaa ( martyrs) square where the opposition is observing a sit-in were destroyed by the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon and were protected by the late Syrian President Hafez al-Assad. He explained that denial of good deeds is not the moral of the Lebanese. He said that Syria is in the heart of the Lebanese.
Nasrullah announced his consent of the results of the meeting of the Syrian- Lebanese higher council, stressing the importance that the Syrian withdrawal from the Lebanese lands to be governed by the Taif agreement.
Nasrullah renewed the rejection of the Lebanese of UN Security Council resolution no. 1559. He condemned the assassination of the former Lebanese prime minister Rafic Hariri, stressing the importance of disclosing the reality in order to restore back calm to the atmospheres.
On the internal level, Sheikh Nasrullah called for parliamentary consultations today, Wednesday, and to nominate and assign one person who will form a national government. He added that should the opposition reject this request "we would resort to dialogue," considering that "dialogue is an integral part in the Lebanese political work."
He said that Lebanon is not Ukraine or Georgia, rather has a unique international status, stressing that "all plans aiming to implanting sedition in Lebanon will fail eventually." Nasrullah called on France, the USA and Israel to "lift up its hands from Lebanon and leave it to live in peace."
