Egypt: Ayman Nour supporters escalate moves

Supporters of the leader of "al-Ghad" opposition party, the detained Ayman Nour, on Sunday organized a new demonstration demanding his release. The spokeswoman for the party and Nour's wife Jamila Ismael announced the escalation of the efforts during the current week.

The Egyptian riot fighting cordoned the demonstrators who gathered in front of the office of the Attorney General in Cairo demanding the release of Nour and clashes with them in an attempt to disperse them and this resulted in injuring one of the demonstrators.

Jamila Ismael announced that members of the party will announce a sit-in in their headquarters on Wednesday for one week, warning they will start hunger strike if her husband is not released.
