Marches in Lebanon to support al-Assad's speech
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 3/7/2005
Public spontaneous marches rushed Saturday in many Lebanese cities, including Beirut, Tripoli, al-Nabatei Halba, Akar and Baalbak to support stances expressed by Syria's President Bashar al-Assad during his speech before the Syrian Assembly.
Marches went into the streets as soon as President al-Assad finished his speech to stress the Syrian-Lebanese historic relations.
They also carried pictures of both Syrian and Lebanese presidents as well as held banners supporting Syria and condemning every foreign interference in the Lebanese internal affairs.
