Continued killings, detentions in Iraq
More than ten persons were killed and others injured in frequent attacks in Iraq. Police commander of al-Badeir district col. Ghayeb Hattab Zreib was killed near his house, 45 km to the east of al-Dewaneh city, 180 Km to the south of Baghdad. Unidentified gunmen opened fire at him and then fled. One woman was injured in the attack.

Lebanese member of parliament Osama Saad assured that the Syrian-Lebanese relations are a national fact that nobody can deny. On the first American reaction to the possibility of a Syrian partial withdrawal from Lebanon, the US President George W. Bush renewed his demands of immediate withdrawal for the Syrian forces from Lebanon, refusing what he described incomplete measures. Go
