Syria denies differences with Saudi Arabia over Lebanese issue
Syria-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 3/5/2005
Syria on Thursday denied what was reported by some news agencies on the talks held between President Bashar al-Assad and Saudi Crown Prince Abdulla Ibn Abdul Aziz, asserting "Talks were fruitful and constructive." Syrian Arab News Agency SANA stressed that discussions were fruitful within a very friendly atmosphere just as were depicted by the Saudi News Agency. "The rejection to name the Saudi official confirms the incredibility of the news," SANA said.
Earlier, Reuters said, quoting a Saudi official, the Crown Prince told Syria that it has to pull out its troops from Lebanon soon or else the Syrian- Saudi relations will face difficulties.
