Qatari establishment denies inviting an Israeli official to Doha

Qatar's foundation for education, sciences and promoting the society denied allegations broadcasted by an Arab satellite station on the visit of the Israeli deputy minister of education Michael Milikiour to attend a forum.

In a statement, the establishment said that the said Israeli official came to Doha at the request of organizers of the monthly Doha forum program which is organized in collaboration with the BBC.

It stressed that the Israeli official did not receive any invitation to visit Doha from any Qatari figure, governmental or non governmental, and did not meet with any of officials in Qatar's foundation for education and sciences.

The statement said that the anchor who presents the program and his team are the side which chooses the guests of the forum without the intervention of officials of Qatar's establishment for education, science and society development.

On February 23, the said Israeli official took part in a forum about the Roadmap peace plan with four speakers including the Palestinian minister Ghassab al-Khatib.
